Paranormal Series Reviews

Black Dagger Brotherhood  Series by J.R Ward

They are strong, they are powerful, and they could take some of your blood without you remembering they even ever touched you. They are the Black Dagger Brotherhood. At 25, they become true vampires, as well as strong, sexy,   lethal men. They feed off the opposite gender and hunt down Lesser's to protect others. One by one they meet their true mates. They aren't immune to relationship troubles either. It takes a strong woman to be able to handle these men. Each of them learn to fight for their lives and their loves and even though they are vampires, they still seem to keep a touch of humanity.

Lux Series by Jennifer Armentrout

Katy never expected to meet people like Dee and Daemon Black. They were her next door neighbors, but they were much more then that. They are Luxen. Aliens living among humans with a little hand from the DOD. Dee quickly becomes Katy's best friend, but  keeps their secret to herself, all while Daemon is being overly protective and tries to push her away from their family in fear of being taken away like his brother Dawson. Then one day,  when he finally puts his trust in her, she gets scared and runs, and then Daemon is forced to use his powers to save her from being crushed by a truck. This results in Katy being "lit up", a tracking beacon for the Luxen's enemy the Arum. Daemon and Dee must stay close to her until it wears off, even though their fellow Luxen don't approve of it, and end up forging friendship and much more along the way.

                                                Covenant Series by Jennifer Armentrout
The people who live on Deity Island aren't human, they are the decedents of the Gods. They are either "Pures" or "Halfs". Pures are considered to be above the rest, Halfs are trained from very young to stand and protect the Pures. If they aren't good enough at that to become a Sentinal, then they are given the Elixir. The Elixir is filled with Compulsion and makes them mindless, compliant, servants. Pures and Halfs are not allowed to be together. If that happens, and a child is produced, then the Gods destroy them. But they didn't get a chance to destroy Alex. Everyone thought that her father was a mortal, because that's what her mother told everyone. Only a select few knew the truth. Her father was a Half, a Sentinal that guarded her mother, and they fell in love. But she was paired with another Pure Blood, and forced to forget about Alex's father when he dissapears. Before her 18th birthday gets to close, Alex's mother takes her away from Deity Island and moves from place to place to avoid being caught. Alex is part of a big prophecy, one that her mother doesn't want her to be a part of. She's destined to be one of the Apollyon, the God Killers. Aiden has always been around Alex. He's a few years older, but they've always been drawn together. But Aiden is a Pure. It's Aiden that comes to bring Alex back to Diety Island when her mother was attacked by Daimons and left presumably dead. After being back for a while, some one else comes to shake things up, Seth. Alex feels drawn to Seth but she doesn't get why.  Not until she discovers the full extent of the prophecy her mom was trying to keep her from. Seth is supposed to be her destiny, her other half, the other Apollyon. When she Awakens she's meant to fully connect with Seth, and he's supposed to tap into all her powers for himself. But Alex is in love with Aiden, and doesn't want to lose herself to Seth, Aiden stays by her side to fight for their love even after she Awakens and forgets who she is and what she really wants.

Gone With The Wolf Review
Thank you to Entangled Publishing for a copy of this book for review!

Gone  With The Wolf by Kristin Miller

Drake Wilder has been looking for his Luminary, his soul mate,  for over 200 years. Without her, he and his twin brother, Silas, are without the official title of Alpha to the Seattle pack per their now dead father's wishes. They must have met and bonded with their Luminary to take the title and all the estate that is now left behind. Drake runs Wilder Financial, and its there that he meets the thinks-with-her-heart and not her head, Emelia. Emelia thought that she was going to get an in with Wilder Financial and set the record straight about her bar and be done with them. She didn't count on being thrown into the world of Werewolves and the battle between brothers to become Alpha. Silas having sensed that his brother was now mated, sets out to destroy Emelia and force his brothers hand so he can take his place as heir to the pack and everything that comes with it, simply because he is a few minutes older. But he underestimates the power and love between Drake and Emelia and the packmates that will go above and beyond to protect those that are theirs.

I especially loved how the end brought them full circle, and how Drake finally realizes that Emmie is his equal and trusts her wholeheartedly. I hope there will be more. Maybe for Mr. Bloomfield finding his Luminary? I would like that!

Die For Me (Revenants #1) Review

Die For Me by Amy Plum

Kate is a 16 year old who just moved to Paris from New York with her sister to live with their grandparents after their parents died in a car accident. She is extremely depressed and the one person that brings her out of her depression and makes her feel alive again is Vincent. He is sweet and sexy and not exactly human anymore. Kate finds out about what he is and after dating him for a while something happens to one of his kind and deciding she can’t deal with the possibility of seeing Vincent like that, she ends things. She goes back to her depression and after a conversation with two members of his “family” she is convinced to go back to Vincent and find a way to make things work. Vincent’s kind has an evil enemy and the leader of them finds a way into Kate’s life through her sister. He wants to destroy Vincent and kill him for good. Luckily, Kate helps save the day and prevents the enemy from killing the boy she loves.
This book was AMAZING!! Vincent is soooo sweet and perfect! I love the idea of "Revenants" and that it was something i have never heard of before. I love all the other supernatural stuff but it’s always refreshing to read about something new. Jules and Ambrose are AMAZING. I love the way they treat Kate and they are so funny! Great characters and the ending was amazing and sweet after the awesome fight scene. Also, this book makes me wish I lived in Paris

The Collector (Dante Walker) Review
                                                          The Collector by Victoria Scott
Dante does the devil's dirty work along with 5 other Collectors. They come to Earth to collect the souls that are "sealed", basically tagged all over, by the collectors. If they get them, then Heaven doesn't. When Dante was sent to Peachville to collect Charlie Cooper's soul he was expecting her to  be a bad girl whose soul would be darkened by several seals and ready for the taking per the devil's orders. But what he gets is a self conscious, geeky, do-gooder who is far from what he expected and some how, she can counter act the seals. That alone paints a big target on her. Dante only has 10 days to collect her soul and deliver it to the devil for his new promotion. But Charlie reminds Dante of when he was human, and makes him feel things that he thought were buried. Charlie is a light side to his darkness, and even though he brings out her inner bad girl, they work. You can see how they effect each other from the beginning, it starts off as a job but ends up much more then that.
